Bangladesh President Hamid invites 6 more parties for talks

President Abdul Hamid has invited six more political parties to discuss over ongoing talks on strategy to reconstitute the Election Commission (EC).
President`s Press Secretary Joynal Abedin confirmed the matter on Tuesday.
The six parties are- ruling Bangladesh Awami League’s allies Workers Party of Bangladesh, Bangladesh Nationalist Front (BNF), Jatiya Party (Manju) and Bangladesh Tariqat Federation and opposition Bangladesh Nationalist Party’s (BNP) allies Bangladesh Jatiya Party (BJP) and Islami Oikya Jote.
Joynal Abedin said the president is scheduled to hold talks with Workers Party on 27 December, with BNF and Islami Oikya Jote on 29 December, with Jatiya Party (Manju) on 2 January and with Tariqat Federation and BJP on 3 January.
